Ballie Live respects the privacy of visitors to its website and users of the Ballie Live mobile application, and ensures that personal information is handled carefully and securely.
This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect through our website and app and how we use it.
1. Personal data we collect
Ballie Live may collect personal data when you use our website or app, or contact us.
This may include:
• name
• email address
• IP address
• browser and device information
• information about website usage
When you use the Ballie Live app, we may also process:
• account details, such as your display name, username and profile photo
• in-app activity, such as your predictions, scores, rankings and pool participation
• order and purchase details when you buy merchandise
• technical and device information, such as device identifiers and crash or diagnostic data
Depending on the features you use, the app may ask your permission for certain device functions, such as push notifications, camera and photo access. You can manage or withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings.
2. Purpose of data processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
• operating and improving the website
• providing and improving the Ballie Live app and its features
• processing and delivering your purchases
• responding to questions or contact requests
• analyzing website and app usage
• maintaining the security of the website and app
We process this data on the following legal bases: the performance of our contract with you (for your account, purchases and participation in Pools), your consent (for non-essential cookies and optional device permissions, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interest (in securing, analysing and improving our website and app), and compliance with our legal obligations.
3. Data retention
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we are required by law to keep it longer.
Retention periods depend on the type of data and its purpose: account and profile data are kept while your account is active; order and invoice records are kept for the statutory tax period (7 years in the Netherlands); and analytics and crash data are kept only as long as needed for the relevant purpose.
4. Sharing personal data with third parties
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
However, we may share data with third parties when this is necessary for operating the website and app, such as:
• hosting providers
• analytics providers
• technical service providers
• payment providers, to process your purchases
These parties may only use the data for providing their services to us.
We may also use third-party services for app analytics and for crash and performance reporting. These services may process technical and device information, such as device identifiers and crash logs, to help us keep the app stable and improve it.
Ballie Pools: when you take part in a Ballie Pool, or create one as a host, certain profile information (such as your display name, username, profile photo, team preferences, predictions, scores and rankings) may be visible to other participants in that Pool. We only share this information within the relevant Pool and to provide the service.
Some of these service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

8. Payments and purchases
When you buy merchandise or other products through Ballie Live, your payment is processed by secure, third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers. We only receive the information we need to process and confirm your order.
9. Account and data deletion
You can ask us to delete your Ballie Live account and all associated personal data at any time. You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request.
To request deletion, email info@ballielive.nl with the subject “Account deletion”. Where this option is available, you can also delete your account directly in the app.
We will delete your account and personal data within 30 days of your request, unless we are legally required to keep certain information (for example, for tax or administrative obligations).
